I am writing in support of the Greek proposal to address some of the most visible and pressing issues at Dartmouth today. I believe the Greek system has its problems certainly, but it also has a multitude of incredibly positive aspects. Just because there are problems doesn’t mean we need to abolish it. There are reforms we can make that would allow the system to continue giving people positive experiences. As a member of a local sorority on campus I feel that having a community of amazing women and a house where I feel safe and welcome is one of the most important things to me on campus. I would feel less welcome, more limited, and less happy without this space and this community. Dartmouth needs to hear it’s students voices and work with us not against us.
